Neue Meister Live in Berlin
In 2016, Neue Meister organized three concerts together with the Deutsches Kammerorchester Berlin and the DRIVE. Volkswagen Group Forum in Berlin for three concerts. On the occasion of these concerts, top international composers from completely different backgrounds came together for a joint task: each was to compose or arrange a new work for orchestra. The double album “Neue Meister Live in Berlin” brings together all of these works and presents a unique cross-section of the current spectrum of compositional creativity worldwide. The three Neue Meister concerts were always dedicated to a specific musical theme. The first concert, which took place on 29.02.2016, was dedicated to the broad musical creativity in Berlin - an international hotspot for composers of the younger generation. Federico Albanese, Johannes Motschmann, Paul Frick, Fabian Russ and Henrik Schwarz arranged or composed new works for this concert. The musical spectrum ranges from the almost neo-romantic orchestrated piano piece by Albanese to the “orchestronic” bombast of Fabian Russ. In contrast, the famous DJ and producer Henrik Schwarz presents a completely acoustic work for orchestra and Paul Frick - known for Brandt Brauer Frick - also uses only acoustic elements, with Johannes Motschmann seeking to combine synthesizer and orchestra. The second concert on 19.06.2016 took place under the motto “Crossing Borders” and brought together composers whose music combines influences from different cultures or genres. The works by Gilad Hochman and Matthew Herbert were written or produced for this concert. Hochman's work Nedudim (Wandering) also deals with his life between Israel and Berlin from a historical perspective. Herbert has created a musical critique of society and a commentary on the refugee crisis with live samples. At the “Driven by Inspiration” concert on 6.11.2016, all participating composers explored “old masters” and their role models. British composer Ben Palmer wrote his work “Bach Dreams” for this, while Francesco Tristano was inspired by the minimalist structures of Detroit techno in Neihou. The Neue Meister concert series at the Drive. Volkswagen Group Forum with the German Chamber Orchestra Berlin continues in 2017.
Federico Albanese
In his childhood Federico practiced the piano and clarinet, whereas as an adolescent he focused on playing the guitar, with which he could establish as a leading protagonist in the underground scene of Milan after studying contrabass. In 2007 he founded the avant-garde-duo "La Blanche Alchimie" with his girlfriend, the singer-songwriter Jessica Einaudi. With this duo he released three albums, could reach international attention and prospered. Also as a composer for advertisements, film and television he could achieve a major success. His scores got used for example in the international film production "Shadows In The Distance" (2012), "Alles im grünen Bereich" (2014) or the documentary "Cinema Perverso" (2015) of the television broadcaster ARTE.
Federico’s debut album as an solo-pianist got released in 2014, titled as "The Houseboat and the Moon". In his new release "The Blue Hour" in 2016 he presents crisp, very dynamic and complexly arranged compositions.

Born in 1972 and educated at Exeter University, Matthew Herbert may have overseen production duties for artists such as Roisin Murphy, Micachu, Merz, Hejira and Rowdy Superstar whilst re-mixing over 200 artists (ranging from Quincy Jones, REM and Serge Gainsbourg to Bjork and Mahler) but it is for the extraordinary range of his work as an artist and sound innovator that he is best known. He has performed solo, as a DJ and with various musicians including his own 18 piece big band all round the world from the Sydney opera house to the Hollywood Bowl and created installations, plays and opera. His most celebrated work ONE PIG followed the life of a pig from birth to plate and beyond. He is relaunching an online Museum of Sound and is the creative director of the new Radiophonic Workshop for the BBC. His debut play The Hush was performed at the National Theatre, his debut opera The Crackle at the Royal Opera House and he continues to work on projects for the screen as well as the stage. He is currently finishing his debut book called The Music for the publisher Unbound.More releases

Deutsches Kammerorchester Berlin
refl ects the atmosphere of modern-day Berlin under the artistic director and fi rst concertmaster Gabriel Adorján: musicians from both sides of the formerly divided city have joined together with international colleagues to form an ensemble which has a loyal following thanks to its enthusiasm for the new and its commitment to music. The DKO’s repertoire ranges from works of the Baroque through to contemporary compositions, with the classical canon forming the core and contemporary works offering a stimulating contrast. One of the orchestra’s concerns is to attract attention to works at the edge of the traditional concert repertoire spectrum. Conductors such as Markus Poschner, Christian Jost, Michael Helmrath, Philippe Jordan and Simon Halsey have all taken the rostrum to direct the DKO. Internationally renowned guest soloists have included Daniel Hope, Nigel Kennedy, Ben Becker, Lucas und Arthur Jussen, Anna Prohaska, Martin Helmchen, Avi Avital, Maximilian Hornung, Asya Fateyeva, Matthias Kirschnereit, David Orlowsky and Baiba Skride. The orchestra has recorded CDs, among others, for the Deutsche Grammophon label featuring Daniel Hope, Albrecht Mayer, the Radio Choir of Berlin and also with Liv Migdal and Annika Treutler.

He played with many of exciting musicians such Francesco Tristano, Bachar Mar-Khalifé, Jef Neve, Kenny Barron & Magic Malik, wrote music for theater and film and leaded a jazz quartet. Today he mixes emotional classical music with minimal electronic sounds, although Schumacher himself considers each classification obsolete. To him, music is a single, limitless playground.
2018 also marked a new beginning for Pascal Schumacher, who upon invitation to play at Jazz & The City Festival In Salzburg, started to develop his own solo material. The experience opened up an entirely new path for the composer culminating in his debut solo album, SOL. SOL captures Schumacher’s newfound passion for solitude in all its magnetism all the while remaining true to the main characteristic of his relationship with the vibraphone; intimacy. SOL has ben released via Neue Meister in June 2020.
Pascal is a Yamaha Artist and a Professor for Jazz and Classical Percussion at the Conservatoire de Musique de Luxembourg. - He is the Artistic Director of the innovative 'Reset' Music Festival at Abbaye Neimenster and an Ambassador for SOS Children's Villages International - Luxembourg.More releases

Jacques Ammon
Internationally, Jacques Ammon has performed in many countries, including Austria (Wiener Konzerthaus), France (Chatelet Paris), the Netherlands (Concertgebouw Amsterdam), Great Britain (Wigmore Hall), Spain (Palau de la Musica), Italy (Borciani-Festival), and Belgium, Finland, Poland, Russia, Japan, Chile, Argentina and the USA. Many of his concerts have been documented by broadcasting companies such as Radio France, BBC London, RBB, NDR, DWR, BR and WDR.
On invitation of the ensemble „The 12 Cellists of the Berlin Philarmonica“ Jacques Ammon got the opportunity to be a musical advisor and arranger for a record (EMI), which in turn got a Grammy nomination and became the winner of the Echo Award. Back in 1996, Jacques Ammon and cellist Eckart Runge founded their ensemble „Runge&Ammon“. In 2020 they signed exclusively with the label Berlin Classics/Edel and subsequently released three records there. Several other records were also released with the labels Ars Musici and Genuin Classics. The duo Runge&Ammon celebrate their 25-year anniversary in 2021; these long and intensive years of working together have brought them many opportunities worldwide. Jacques Ammon is also in close collaboration with violinist Daniel Hope, which has borne fruits that are shown through his participation in numerous recordings for Deutsche Grammophon and many other concerts and projects. In addition to his performing career, Jacques Ammon is also a part of the panels at international competitions and a passionate teacher at music festivals both in Germany and abroad. Some of these include the international chamber music masterclass Jeunesses Musicales in Weikersheim, the Akademie Hohenstaufen, the Hope Music Academy in Schloß Neuhardenberg, the Kronberg Academy, the Krzyzowa Music Festival in Poland, and the Queen Elisabeth Music Kabel in Belgium.
