Breath

Introducing "Breath," the new piano and violin single from Alex Stolze's album "Raash ve Ruach" (Noise and Wind). Originally composed with Ben Osborn during the pandemic for an online project exploring the historical emptiness around Stolze's home, "Breath" later found life in an interactive dance performance. The track's simplicity and the hauntingly repetitive violin theme add a hypnotic layer to the album's delicate side, capturing the ethereal essence of "Ruach" (spirit).

Alex Stolze

The Jewish-German violinist and producer Alex Stolze has earned a strong reputation for his unique music. He switches seamlessly between modern classical instrumentation and sensitive electronica and manages to create a previously unseen sound based on his 5-string violin. Middle Eastern scales create a beguiling soundscape, complex polyrhythms and unusual time signatures become addictive, danceable grooves and rousing songs. Alex Stolze's work with the electronic trio Bodi Bill, the avant-garde band Dictaphone and his work as founder and head of Nonostar Records, on which Anne Müller, Ben Osborn, Qrauer and Field Kit have also already released, also repeatedly attracts international attention.
